Annual Elections

In accordance with the Society of the First African Families in English America's By-Laws, the society will conduct it's virtual election for members of the Board of Directors on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 through 11:59 PM on March 31, 2025. The results will be announced at the Annual Meeting on May 10, 2025.

2025 Honorees

The Society of the First African Families of English America is proud to announce it's 2025 Honorees …men and women – past and present, whose lives have made a significant impact on history, culture and our way of life, but whose deeper personal stories have often been overlooked, ignored or misrepresented. Recognition will be made at our Annual Conference on Friday, May 9th at our Black Tie Reception in their honor.

Women’s History Month

The Society of the First African Families of English America embraces Women’s History Month, which is celebrated every March, and honors the contributions, achievements, and history of women in the U.S. and around the world. The month of March highlights the impact of women in various fields, from politics and science to arts and activism, promoting awareness and equality.

AMERICA 250

 

SOFAFEA in the fall of 2025
will be launching its major America 250 initiatives.

America 250 is a nationwide initiative commemorating the 250th anniversary of the United States in 2026. Organized by the U.S. Semiquincentennial Commission, it aims to celebrate America’s history, honor its diverse communities, and inspire civic engagement. The initiative includes events, educational programs, and community projects across the country to reflect on our nation’s past, present, and future.

The Society in collaboration with our Regional Vice Presidents and our partners will be providing monthly events throughout the nation in 2026, and hope you will join us.

Get started early by keeping up to date on our current activities in promoting
the heroic deeds of our ancestors and America’s Forgotten Patriots.
